Joe discusses the traits and skills needed; the "eco-system" that must be built; and the experience that a person must gain to have a successful career as an entrepreneur. The lecture includes great tips and stories about real life situations. (60 and 90 minute lectures.
Lecture Topic #2: “Campus to Career: Seven Steps to Get the Job of Your Dreams". In this power presentation, Joe gives the students "street smart" strategies for getting hired in today's environment. Points that are covered include effective approaches to networking, how to present & market yourself, the three images your resume must present to a perspective employer, and how to differentiate yourself from the competition. (60 and 90 minute lectures)

Lecture # 3: "Immigrant Contribution to America: Growing Up Italian-American". Joe presents a powerful presentation with examples demonstrating immigrant values including hard work. He draws from his experiences of growing up in an immigrant family to demonstrate the importance of these values. This is based on his bestselling book, "Raised Italian-American: Stories, Values and Traditions from the Italian Neighborhood. Students will learn some Italian history, key immigrant values brought to the U.S. and a number of examples of those values in action by famous and not so famous people.
